Today, I'd like to introduce a long-standing restaurant specializing in pork intestine hotpot,
located in Suyu-dong, Gangbuk-gu.
This is Silbi House, a famous restaurant in Suyu-dong,
Gangbuk-gu, with 39 years of tradition!
You can feel the nostalgic vibe of the old restaurant as soon as you enter, right?
I went on a weekday evening, and there was a wait... I think I waited for about 40 minutes!
After the wait, we finally got in!
Once inside, we ordered two servings of pork intestine hotpot!

The pork intestines at this 39-year-old traditional Silbi House look amazing, don't they?
They clean the intestines so well that they look nice and white! The broth is also clear and delicious!
While watching the intestines boil,
they serve you the side dishes!
And let me tell you, the side dishes are fantastic!
They mix four types of greens right in front of you! Like this!
You can eat the greens with the hotpot, or, like me, you can order a large bowl of rice!
The large bowl of rice is exactly what it sounds like – a big bowl of rice with sesame oil drizzled on it! The reason is that you can mix the greens with the rice to make a delicious bibimbap! Like this!
You neatly place the greens on top of the rice and mix it all up! Just like in the video!
As you eat and enjoy, before you know it, your hotpot and large bowl of rice will be gone...
But we are Koreans, right? What's the best part of a meal for Koreans?
The fried rice at the end! Of course, we had to have fried rice too!
