Hello!
In this post, I’ll write about three desserts I had in Mokpo!
(This is based on my personal taste.....)
(Please note that many people have different tastes, so just take this as a reference!)
I tried a dessert that was also featured on the TV show "I Live Alone."
First, the dessert I tried was grilled heart skewers!
1. Mokpo Grilled Heart Skewers
Here’s a picture of the restaurant selling heart skewers! Hehe
Here’s the menu! Hehe
I had 6 chicken heart skewers for 5,000 won! Hehe
You can choose the sauce flavor for the heart skewers!
Mild / Slightly Spicy / Spicy
I went with the mild flavor,
and it was really delicious!
I now understand why they ordered 100 skewers on "I Live Alone."
(It was delicious to me... Hehe)
You can watch the video below of me eating it in one shot! Hehe
2. Mokpo Shrimp Baguette
The second dessert was shrimp baguette!
There were two bakeries selling shrimp baguettes.
Both bakeries sold them,
and there seemed to be some issue...
But I didn’t pay much attention to it!
I enjoyed shrimp baguettes from both places! Hehe
Here’s the first bakery I bought the shrimp baguette from! Hehe
It’s a store called CLB!
When you enter the store,
you can find shrimp baguettes like this! Hehe
So, I bought the shrimp baguette from the first bakery,
and then headed to the second one!
The second bakery was Kolombang Bakery!
I also easily found the shrimp baguette displayed there!
I bought shrimp baguettes from both stores!
Both tasted great to me! Hehe
(Based on my personal taste~ Hehe)
When I first took a bite,
I thought, "Huh? Why don’t I taste shrimp?"
But the shrimp flavor gradually came through! Hehe
I thoroughly enjoyed both! Hehe
3. Mokpo Mugwort Roll
I had high expectations for this one... Hehe
But it wasn’t to my taste... ㅜㅜ
First, here’s a picture of the store’s exterior!
Although they used to sell them individually on TV...
It seems they stopped doing that due to the number of visitors...
They now sell them in sets of two for 12,000 won!
As you can see in the picture,
they come packed with mugwort rolls and syrup!
You can pour the syrup over the rolls and eat them!
Personally, I preferred dipping the rolls in syrup,
or just eating them on their own! Hehe
The rolls, with their roasted bean flour coating, were tasty,
but they didn’t quite hit the spot for me... ㅜㅜ
(Just my personal opinion!)
(Please don’t misunderstand... Hehe)
That’s my introduction to the desserts I tried on my Mokpo trip! Hehe
